Nick Carter

I was employed by Royal Mail for 43 years and have been a member of the CWU formerly the UPW for 49 years. I was heavily involved in the trade Union movement at local and area level for 40 years of my Royal Mail employment. I have been a member of the Labour Party since I was 16.

I have lived in Sutton for 21 years and I have been married for 39 years I have two Daughters and 4 grandchildren.

I’m a charity director living in Worcester Park with my wife (who’s a nurse) and my young child. I’m passionate about tackling inequality and making sure local services reflect the needs of local people in the fairest and most transparent way possible.

I have lived in Sutton for over 10 years. I believe Sutton needs change: rising taxes, failing services, all need to be urgently addressed. Better education and health services for all are needed. I am a trustee of a Housing Association focused on residents with learning disabilities and complex conditions, have previously been a Chair for a SEN school and am Chair of a professional standards organisation.
